You asked for it!  By popular demand, your local USC Alumni Clubs present:

The 2012 Inaugural USC Singles Connection: A Professional Mixer for USC Alumni and their Friends who are Single.

That’s right.  It’s Trojans Seeking Trojans.  And Trojan Friends Seeking Trojans or Trojan Friends.  All of course in a professional mixer as is typical of the USC Alumni Association Club events.

COST:              FREE, if you bring a friend of the opposite sex who is single (one of you must be a USC alum), or if you can’t bring a friend, it is $20 at the door.

WHY:              Because you asked for it!  Because this is the first event of this kind that will bring together in one place Trojan alumni who are single! Because you have an awesome friend that is single and you want to help your friend out! Because you could also make new friends with some fun fellow singles for a Guys Night Out or a Girls Night Out.  Do you need any more reasons?

The Fine Print: This event is open to all USC alumni and their guests, all over the age of 21, who are single.  In order to get in free, pairs must be of the opposite sex and at least one of the pairs must be a USC alum.  If you can’t bring a friend of the opposite sex  who is single to get free admission, you can still attend, but the cost is $20 admission.  This event is brought to you by the USC Alumni Associations of the San Gabriel Valley and West Los Angeles.

For nearly 70 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica (SMBGC) has helped L.A.-area youth succeed in life by helping them build confidence and gain valuable academic, social and ethical skills – in a fun and nurturing environment. They have accomplished this by offering an array of age- and gender-appropriate programs that support the healthy development of the whole child. What a great night this was! We are so glad to celebrate the year’s efforts with the West LA alumni board and to meet the diverse alumni in our community.

During this game, we will be holding a Can Food Drive for our annual Thanksgiving gift to local charities. Every donation you give will be matched with a raffle ticket to give you a chance of winning some awesome prizes.

If you want to skip brunch and just come hang out, no problem. Take a load off in our Homecoming Lounge and enjoy the company of fellow Trojans and follow other games on our flat screen TVs. There is no charge to come sit in the lounge.

*PRE-SHOW MIXER: The pre-show mixer will take place from 6:00-7:30 pm at the Wood & Vine restaurant, located just steps away from the Pantages Theatre. The address of Wood & Vine is:

The restaurant has generously provided us with a special happy hour menu, in which some of their most popular beverages and snacks will be a dollar off of the regular price. Complimentary cheese and charcuterie hors d’oeuvres will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

*TICKET PICKUP: Tickets will be distributed at Wood & Vine from 6:00-7:30 pm. For alumni who cannot attend the mixer, WLA board members will be distributing the remaining tickets in the theatre lobby from 7:30 until show time. If you arrive past show time, please find your tickets at will call.

*DIRECTIONS TO PANTAGES: The Pantages Theatre is located at 6233 Hollywood Blvd, between Vine and Argyle Streets. From the Hollywood (101) Freeway, exit at Hollywood Boulevard and proceed west four blocks. The theatre is on your right, on the north side of Hollywood Boulevard just past Argyle. The Pantages Theatre is also easily accessible by Metro Red Line by exiting at the Hollywood/Vine Station, located directly across the street from the Pantages Theatre.

*PARKING: Independently managed parking lots are located adjacent to the Pantages Theatre on Argyle Street, both north and south of Hollywood Blvd as well as at the northwest corner of Hollywood & Vine. Prices generally range in price from $10-$15 (subject to change). Sunshine Parking, an authorized parking company for the Pantages Theatre, operates the two lots on Argyle (Lots A & C) and to purchase parking in advance and for more detailed info www.sunshineautoparks.com or call 213-617-7275. The USC West Los Angeles club has secured a LIMITED number of discounted Orchestra-level tickets to see the Tony and Grammy award-winning musical Wicked at the Pantages Theatre on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 8:00 pm.  Wicked is a fresh, spunky, and humorous take on The Wizard of Oz, providing us with the backstory of how the Wicked Witch of the West and the Good Witch of the North evolve from college roommates to fierce rivals.

Full-priced tickets for this show range from $115-$400, but with our special USC discount, they are available to you for only $65.00 each (over half off!!). Isn’t it good to be a Trojan?
