Friends and Neighbors Day

The USC Volunteer Center ‘s Friends and Neighbors Days program is one of our most popular community service events. These one day service events take place on Saturdays throughout the school year and provide a great opportunity to meet fellow students and alumni as well as get involved in the surrounding community.

Westside Special Olympics
The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. Volunteers will help with Westside’s 4th Annual Bowling Tournament. You will be asked to help with Team Check-In, Lane Monitoring during tournament and awards presentation. Volunteers will also be needed to help with lunch which will be held immediately following the tournament at the Ken Edwards Center. All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and able to read, write and speak English. Volunteers must wear sneakers
